What You'll Do

Community Outreach

  • Connect with local businesses and organizations to secure sponsorships, monetary donations, and auction items.
  • Build lasting community partnerships that support event fundraising goals.

Donor & Sponsor Relations

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Ensure timely communication, follow-up, and recognition.

Event Platform Management

  • Maintain and update the event website and online fundraising portal.
  • Track donations, sponsorships, auction items, and ticket sales.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Partner with the marketing and communications team to promote the event.
  • Help highlight sponsors and drive community engagement.

Fundraising Support

  • Assist in developing and executing fundraising strategies to help meet event goals.
  • Identify opportunities to increase donor participation and sponsorship support.

Event Logistics & Administration

  • Coordinate schedules, vendors, and event-related activities.
  • Provide administrative support to keep planning efforts on track.

Post-Event Follow-Up

  • Send thank-you emails and letters to donors, attendees, sponsors, bidders, and volunteers.
  • Ensure tax receipts are distributed appropriately.
  • Verify auction payments and coordinate item pickup or delivery for winners.
  • Acknowledge and thank businesses and individuals who donated auction items.

Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, nonprofit organizations, or community engagement preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable making outreach calls and building relationships within the community

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, online fundraising platforms, spreadsheets, and email marketing tools

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

Passion for supporting charitable causes and community impact


This position will begin aroiund July 20 with approximately 8-16 hours per week, primarily on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and will gradually increase as fundraising efforts and event planning activities ramp up.

As we get closer to the gala, hours may increase to 30-40 hours per week, depending on event needs and progress.

This is a temporary project-based position that will continue through the gala and conclude approximately two weeks after the event to assist with donor acknowledgments, auction wrap-up, reporting, and final event follow-up.
